Design Spotlight Series
by Joshua Ahlers
A blog series highlighting website designs from The Content Squad portfolio with an emphasis on some of the prominent elements and features of each project.
In our first installment of Squad U, Joel Gerdis shows us the benefits of local targeting through Facebook.
If you are a business owner with a Facebook account (If you don't have one, create one!), Facebook advertising is an affordable way to target your marketing strategies and develop inexpensive campaigns around your business.
We always encourage our clients to be on top of their website analytics. Analytics serve you by telling the story of who is coming to your website, how they got there and what they are most interested in. It can also give very valuable insights like the percentage of users who view your site on a desktop computer or mobile device. If you do not know this stat you are likely unaware of the importance of having a mobile responsive website might be for your company. When I averaged our clients' mobile usage analytics, here is what we found. The B2Cs averaged 42%, the B2Bs averaged 16.5% and the non-profits averaged 42.5% mobile usage. Clearly the B2Bs averaged far less mobile usage on their websites but that does not mean it is still not a crucial metric to consider. The rate at which mobile usage is increasing in all industries should be closely watched by all business types.
We have been working towards this reveal for the past four months.
Today we are excited to reveal The Content Squad’s new name... The Marketing Squad
If you are an admin on a Facebook company page you have probably seen the little button to the lower right of each post. The button simply says "boost." This is a simple way for businesses to begin getting greater reach with their posts.
For most of my history with The Content Squad, I have had a role that was primarily focused on our client's strategic goals. In January, I was commissioned into a new role with our company. I still get to work with our clients on a monthly basis, but now I also get to go out in the community and tell people about who we are.
I began working with The Squad in October 2015 as a consultant with Catalyst Seven. It quickly became clear to me that I wanted to be more involved with this group of great people. The owners agreed, and on January 1, 2016, I became an owner of The Squad.
Louisville-based The Content Squad launched a new marketing automation software that combines the best of all other software applications. Seeing a void in the marketplace, The Content Squad jumped into action in early 2015, putting plans in motion to create this new marketing automation platform. Adam Robinson, partner with The Content Squad, says that clients in the market were demanding a better option, and we put our development resources to work to solve that problem. Today's announcement comes after over 1 year of design, development, and testing.
We're excited to be rolling out a new Squad U Learning Hub where Digital Strategist Joel Gerdis shares his expertise on a variety of digital marketing topics. Each week Joel will be taking a tactical deep dive as he equips businesses with the knowledge they need to successfully carry out various digital campaigns.
